About QLD Renters

Why this site exists

Rental information often makes sense only after you already know the legal language. Most renters arrive with a different question: “I received this form—what happens now?” QLD Renters starts there.

The project combines plain-English guides, explanations of current RTA forms, simple date tools, sourced updates and a maintained rental-law timeline. It is independent and is not operated by the Queensland Government, the RTA, QCAT, a real estate agency or a law firm.

Author and review role

QLD Renters was founded in Queensland by Robert, who is the site's publisher and editor. Robert researches official material, writes practical explanations and is accountable for corrections. He is not a lawyer and the site does not present its information as legal advice or claim professional qualifications it does not have.

Each guide identifies the primary source checked, the date it was reviewed and the general limits of the explanation. The editorial standard is to start with current RTA, Queensland legislation, QCAT or renter-advice material, explain the practical question in original language and update or correct the page when a source changes.

What comes next

The public community forum will open only after its complaints process, new-member review and moderation tools are ready. That sequencing protects members and keeps the information site useful while the community is being prepared.
