Community foundation

A safer forum for Queensland renters.

A practical discussion space needs good categories, clear boundaries and a moderation plan before it needs a post box. This release publishes that foundation first.

Current status: public posting is not enabled.

No accounts, member profiles, thread submissions or user-generated content are active in this GoDaddy release.

What this is for

Make the practical question easier to ask.

Renters often know what happened but not which document, date or official pathway belongs with it. A useful community can help members compare preparation steps, explain confusing language and find the right source.

The forum will never replace the RTA, QCAT, QSTARS or independent legal advice. Its job is to help people ask clearer questions and preserve safer, more useful records.

When posting opens

Bring the useful details, leave out the private ones.

A strong question gives other members enough context to point you towards a source without exposing your identity or someone else's private information.

  1. 1
    What happened?

Describe the notice, repair, bill or conversation in your own words.

  2. 2
    When did it happen?

Use dates and the order of events rather than a general statement.

  3. 3
    What have you checked?

Link to the current RTA or Queensland source where possible.

  4. 4
What are you trying to decide?

Ask for a preparation idea, not a guaranteed legal outcome.

What must exist first

A real forum needs more than a comment box.

Before public posting is switched on, the project needs authenticated accounts, report and block controls, moderation queues, abuse escalation, appeals, retention rules, backups and a way to keep pending or disputed content away from advertising.
