How we work
Our process is designed to make it obvious what a guide covers, where the information came from and when it was last checked.
Source order
We begin with current Queensland legislation, then the Residential Tenancies Authority, QCAT and other Queensland Government material. Commentary from third parties may help identify a question, but it does not replace the primary source.
Plain-English drafting
We explain the practical situation in original wording. We do not copy an official page or publish a law-shaped wall of text. Every guide begins with a short answer, identifies the tenancy types it covers, highlights the important facts and links to the official source.
Review dates
Each published guide displays a last-reviewed date. Volatile topics are checked more frequently, and a law change triggers review of affected pages. A visible date is not a guarantee that every circumstance has been covered, so readers should still confirm current information before acting.
Corrections
Substantive corrections are recorded publicly. We prefer a clear correction over quietly changing a page and pretending the earlier wording never existed.
